Few weeks left. The best season of waiting.
To please my kids I prepared a red ('Mom, I really like red ') advent calendar doll. Every morning they can find a sweet surprise in a pocket.
Another thing is a Christmas/non-Christmas wreath. It was my last Christmas's project but because of travelling I didn't make it. Maybe there is nothing particularly christmasy in it but for me it's a x-mas decoration :)
Materials: red, white and grey polyester, colourful bands, knitting thread (hair), embroidery floss, blush | grey and white cotton, white felt, sequines, silver thread, silver and white band.

So here is the dress I made some time ago and after one use I decided to get two garments out of it.
I wanted to let down the top part and remake a skirt to a pencil one.
For the top I used a thin cotton whith cute small pattern, which I found in my mum's fabics' pile. It's an old, old thing which I remember from my childhood :)
For the first time I sewed an exposed zipper. I am really satisfied with that. By and large, I tried hard to focus on precise and neat finish.
Materials: white cotton, small print cotton, black buttons | grey blend (silk, cotton, viscose), grey lining, cotton band, metal zipper, snap fastener.

My summer bag has to wait for the next summer. I've just changed it for a grey one.
It wasn't a big deal to make it. Attaching handles took some time.
Materials: grey faux leather, grey and black canvas, black leather handles (from some old bag), tubular rivets, magnetic snap, brown cotton lining, zipper.

Here it came. The autumn. But today there was such a wonderful sun...
I don't really have too many long sleeves and I suppose it won't be too warm until let's say april next year.. This blouse appeared in my mind. It's exactly what I imagined to be and it's comfortable too.
Materials: stretched jacquard (dark blue almost black flowers), grey knit.

These are the orders I took last summer. My sister had her vision and I was supposed to do something with that. Bring to life I guess.
The bag has a shape of the most standard shopping bag. It's made of soft, fake leather. It will not have a too long life because of its too thin and too weak material. But my sister is happy to wear it now.
The blouse is very pink :) It's a stiff polyurethane (quilted by me) which is not the best skin's friend but the vision is the vision!
Materials: black fake leather, zipper (for the separate pocket atached on a thin belt to one of the handles), magnetic fastener | pink polyurethane.

I got this fabric accidentally and had no idea what to do with it. It's great for interior if someone likes baroque richness (I'm not the one). And lately I was enlightened! I wanted so much to have a skirt out of this gold jacquard!! While doing the skirt I was thinking that the dress would be even better but maybe next time!
(because of the weather and the camera you don't really see the sparkling quality of this fabric..)
Materials: gold and red jaquard, lining, zipper, button.

It looks better with high heels :) I sewed it quite fast, I put it on once and decided I would change it!
I will open the seams and make two pieces out of this: a skirt and a shirt.
The dress is not so bad but it is not enough to be satisfied completely...
Materials: white cotton, grey blend (viscose, silk, cotton), black buttons, silver string.

The summer is over.
When the air had been amazingly hot (some weeks ago..) I cut two pairs of shorts. One was purple almost black cotton ('Santa':)) and another was checked poly (a skirt in the previous life). I hate to have unfinished things so I just HAD TO sew them. Done!
Now they have to wait for the next summer.
Based on the pleated shorts #129 (Burda 02/2013) and the pleated shorts #105A (Burda 07/2013).
Materials: dark purple cotton, zipper, button, pink piping | white polyester, zipper, button.

I love these colours. I love this colours' combination.
I knew the dress would be simple. And so it is. The opening in the neckline is quite big but despite the practical reasons (breastfeeding :)) it makes the dress less boring.
Based on Burda 11/2010 (dress#103).
Materials: viscose, elastic.

When I put it on for the first time I had a feeling it was a perfect dress for the countryside :)
I am always happy when I can recycle found somewhere or bought cheap textiles.
The pattern is sleeveless blouse#103 from Burda 06/2012.
Materials: blue blend, orange bias tape, white buttons. white cotton band (finishing the collar), elastic.

A nude lace and similar lining altough I was checking different ones.. I wanted to have a pencil skirt. I made it and then cut it a bit more :) I finished the bottom with the bias tape and I really like the outcome.
There was more manual work this time - sewing machine was almost off...
Materials: nude lace, nude lining, invisible zip, nude bias tape, pink band.

Black and white flamingo top. I wanted to have lighter back but I didn't have a good textile for that. And black was better than white one which didn't match the ecru flamingo fabric.
And my favourite bag (shopping bag form)! The pattern on it is exactly the thing I love. Finished with a yellow heart :)
Materials: white satin, black satin crepe; black and white cotton, yellow felt.
I wanted to use this grey knit (love it!) to sew something different that I would normally do :)
My choice was Burda's pants: 02/2012#108B (I don't really sew trousers to often).
It was a nice process - I tried to do everything precisely and neatly.
I really love the outcome!
Materials: grey knitwear, elastic (3cm wide), string.
I will post it but I hate pictures I have here. This is a bad quality but I didn't get anything better..
The shorts are simple in form and easy to make.
The canvas has really wonderful mint colour which is unfortunately almost invisible on the pics.
The string is also self-made.
Materials: mint cavas, eyelets, white thin string.

I am into graphic patterns and I am into mustard colour.
A stripy viscose was a pair of loose trousers in its previous life (a flea market buy).
A mustard fabric was really small one, bought some time ago on a flea market. I wanted to make a short skirt with big pockets. But then I started to work on it and realised it wasn't enough for a skirt... But my determination was bigger than such a tiny detail :) So a black stripe was my solution. In my opinion, a great solution. (pattern for skirt - longer one with pockets - you can find in Burda 11/2012#125)
Materials: stripy viscose, beige bias tape (different colour for the pocket), mustard fabric, black wool, invisible zipper

I used triangles to make a body of my summer bag. I was thinking a lot about possible patterns.
My choice followed my first thought and here the zigzag is.
I used for the first time some metal accessories: the result is far from perfect but I am satisfied.
There are two pockets inside: triangle pattern used here as well and the orange bias tape.
Materials: beige cotton; white, light and dark beige polyester; piping (cotton plus string inside), thick cotton tape (handle), lining, orange bias tape, cotton string, eyelets, tubular rivets, d-rings, snap hooks.
